Workshop in Brussels, 04/04/2019
On April 4, 2019, the European Commission organized a High Level workshop in Brussels with the attendance of all relevant stakeholders (representatives from the EU Institutions, Member States, airlines and unions) called "WORKING TOWARDS ACHIEVING SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE AIR TRANSPORT: A MATTER FOR ALL OF US", in which the necessity of creating an European framework for the social protection of Aviation workers, specially aircrew, was discussed. Kris Major, chair of the Joint Aircrew Committee in the ETF to which SITCPLA is a member, gave a speech you can read here.

The International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) is a democratic, affiliate led federation, recognized as the world's leading transport authority.
The ITF is one of the global union federations, which are part of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC). SITCPLA is a member of ITF.

European Transport Workers' Federation
The ETF is the European section of the ITF, to which SITCPLA is directly affiliated.
Through the Civil Aviation Section and the Joint Aircrew Committee, we negotiate with the employers and European authorities everything related to air transport, for example, the FTL.
